A collaboration between Smartacus and the Academy for Lifelong Learning(ALL), Saratoga AI is a community-based initiative that uses Artificial Intelligence as connective tissue to turn conversations into civic knowledge and public-facing content. With machine learning, we're demonstrating a collaborative, durable and highly cost-effective means to surface voices, clarify complex issues, and translate lived experience into shared understanding.
In our affiliation with ALL, we're developing courses and showcasing faculty whose teachings deserve a bright spotlight. Our first course, Fun with AI, has led to the establishment of Saratoga AI as an ALL Special Interest Group. We have more courses in development with titles like Voices of Saratogaand Spatial Storytelling with AI and GPS.
Our specialty is capturing meaningful conversations and applying AI to distill what matters with far greater accuracy and efficiency than humans can achieve unaided. We record, transcribe, organize, and combine conversations not to replace human judgment, but to clarify arguments, surface themes, and transform raw dialogue into publishable narratives.
We think of Saratoga AI as a piece of civic infrastructure: a standing capacity for listening, learning, and telling the story of a place as it actually lives and changes. Together, our ALL and Torch Club alliances position Saratoga AI as both a learning laboratory and a public commons—open, participatory, and grounded in local trust.
