Stories from Open Space
Stories from Open Space is a living field journal dedicated to the Upper Hudson Corridor and the Adirondacks. It blends trip reports, trail guides, and site histories into narratives that invite readers to step outdoors and see the land with fresh eyes.
Our work begins on the ground—on footpaths, in archives, and in conversations with local voices. Each story brings together natural history, geology, ecology, and community memory, making the experience of a hike, paddle, or walk something richer than scenery alone.
At its heart, Stories from Open Space is about connection: between people and place, between past and present, and between outdoor experience and civic imagination.
